We took the kids out camping for the first time this year and they loved the camp fire, sleeping in the tent, and hiking up a mountain in the morning.

Then, on July 4th we took them to a parade and they loved eating candy. Later that day, we left the kids with our friends Jessie and Shawn and headed off for a backpacking overnighter with just Aaron and me. It was beautiful weather and scenery, we hiked in 5.5 miles and had this lake all to ourselves.

Aaron caught 5 or 6 fish, and I caught one, but we threw them all back because as you can see, the fish were HUGE!!!
